Job Title: Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator

Position Summary:
CCATCM invites applications for the position of Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and development of our Moodle Cloud learning environment, in addition to providing general on-site technical support and administrative assistance as needed. This role is essential to ensuring a secure, functional, and user-friendly digital learning experience for students and faculty alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the college’s Moodle Cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and accessibility.
- Build, design, and update course shells, user roles, and academic content within the LMS.
- Develop and implement system enhancements, including the integration of plugins, new tools, and digital learning features to support instructional innovation.
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, including training on effective LMS usage.
- Perform regular data backups and ensure the integrity and security of the platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS and general IT issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in broader administrative and operational tasks, including digital resource management, user account administration, and IT asset support.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to align the LMS environment with pedagogical goals and program delivery needs.
- Other duties as business needs require.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience administering and supporting Moodle or Moodle Cloud platforms.
- Strong technical skills in LMS configuration, system permissions, course building, and user management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues related to learning platforms and educational technologies.
- Experience providing technical support to users of varying skill levels.
- Ability to manage system backups, security protocols, and data integrity within an educational setting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and developing LMS courses and structures from the ground up.
- Familiarity with SCORM packages, H5P content, and other interactive e-learning tools.
- Basic knowledge of instructional design, online pedagogy, and user experience best practices.
- Previous experience in a post-secondary or adult education institution.
