Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Stir-fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious stir-fry dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, quality, and presentation to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The Stir-fry Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver authentic and flavorful meals consistently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for stir-fry dishes, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices
- Cook stir-fry meals according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station before, during, and after shifts
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients and plating dishes
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to customers or servers
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal flavor and safety
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques specific to stir-fry cuisine
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on quality presentation
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in restaurant operations is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
