TCP Simple Technologies is looking for your help to fill our need of a mature, experienced, quality focused Delivery Driver with experience as a contractor.
Job Overview:
As a Contractor Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering office materials to businesses in a timely and efficient manner. This is a physically demanding role as some of the packages can be 50 lbs or more. We are looking for someone who can handle 50-60 stops, up to 120 pieces and someone that brandishes excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively. You will be working with a team of TCP Dispatchers who will actively aid you during your deliveries. You will be provided a scanner and will need to follow all scanner policies.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Cargo Van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries .
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are accurate and on time.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery updates or any issues that may arise - Assist with loading and unloading packages as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with customers.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate delivery updates or issues.
- Commercial driving experience required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as moving heavy packages, and lifting heavy objects.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
Requirements
TCP IS LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ABLE TO MEET/PROVIDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS
- Delivery Experience required.
- Ability to lift heavy packages. (50+ lbs)
- Phone with active data plan.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- A cleared criminal background check.
- Additional/Special security clearance will be needed by some clients.
