Resident Manager needed for 59 units in Maple Ridge, BC
The Resident Building Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building with the objective of trying to keep the building full and our Tenants happy. Light handy work would be an asset but the focus is leasing and customer service for our Tenants.
To ensure the building is safely and efficiently managed and maintained, including contacting Facilities Management staff and/or contractors for any required repairs that are beyond the normal duties of onsite maintenance, and suite cleaning / junk removal/ etc as needed.
Maintaining full occupancy, including ensuring that suites are rent ready is a priority. You would be the sole person responsible for getting the suites rented- including setting up advertising, performing showings, credit checks, lease signing, etc.
Rent is collected electronically to the accounting department but accounts receivable and distributing notices in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act is also part of the job.
Keeping the Asset Manager up to date on leasing activity, operational items, repairs, quotes, etc at weekly meetings
Light janitorial and minor handy work
Must be available for after-hour building emergencies.
Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in real estate
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Any Resident Building Manager Certification is a bonus
Good computer literacy skills
