As our College continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee our day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial health of the organization.
Position Summary:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for the College's full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and regulatory filings. This position works closely with senior management and our external CPA to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with Canadian accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports
- Prepare and file GST/PST remittances
- Reconcile tuition payments and student accounts
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting
- Prepare financial documentation for year-end accounting and audit
- Liaise with the College's external CPA
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with CRA and provincial reporting requirements
- Assist with administrative and finance-related projects when required
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 years of Canadian bookkeeping experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience preparing GST/PST filings
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience working in a post-secondary institution, private college or educational environment
- Experience with tuition reconciliation or student financial accounts
- Experience working with external CPA firms
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
