Responsibilities

Tests troubleshoot and repair transmitters, switches, control valves.

Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments.

Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers.

Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments.

Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

Repair faulty equipment or systems.

Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts

Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities

Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively with the team

Good written and verbal communication skills

Focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
-
Certified Journeyperson Instrumentation ticket
-
Industrial Project experience working on a Petro-Chemical facility is an asset.

Valid driver’s license and current driver abstract.
Required Safety Tickets

CSTS 2009 or CSO or BSO

Energy Safety Canada (ESC)
- H2s Aware or Alive

ESC Fall Arrest (good to have)

ESC Confined Space (good to have)
Working Conditions

Compliance to Pre Access Drug and Alcohol testing

CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required.

Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and wintry weather conditions; in and around noise and dust

Coveralls, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat and gloves are provided.

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance.

Stand or walk for extended periods of time and able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
