Job Title: Band Saw Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibility

Operate and maintain saws and cutting equipment, ensuring safety protocols are always followed.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.

Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.

Set up and adjust Bandsaws for precise operations.

Assist in the assembly of components post-cutting as required.
Academic/Educational Requirements

Minimum grade 12 or equivalent, proven experience in machining or a related field is preferred
Required Skills/Experience

Is experienced with specialty steel, specifically honed tube and chrome shafting.

Familiarity with CNC Bandsaws programming is a plus.

Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Ability to operate cranes safely and efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
