We are an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of robust, high-performance bulk material handling solutions. In addition to our custom-designed product, we also design and manufacture a full line of hoisting equipment for truck dump body applications under the NORDIC trade name.
The Opportunity
As a Manual Machinist in our facility, you are motivated and energetic and work well in a team environment. You have strong versatility and the ability to create quality parts on lathes and milling machines according to company plans and blueprints.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes and mills to fabricate metal parts according to specifications
· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations
· Use hand tools and power tools to perform machining tasks
· Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
· Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
· Assemble components using mechanical knowledge and techniques
· Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Skills and Requirements
· Proficiency in manual machining techniques including turning, milling, drilling and tapping
· Ability to perform basic fabrication tasks
· Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
· Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges etc.
· Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
· Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
