Job Summary
TJP Labs, a leading Canadian manufacturing company renowned for its dedication to producing high-quality products in modern oral buccal delivery pouch manufacturing, is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. As a Machine Operator, you will play a pivotal role in operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of our products, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities include:
Machine Operation:
· Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of manufacturing machines, such as the maker and labeler, following established procedures and guidelines.
· Monitor machines during operation, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently.
Quality Assurance:
· Perform quality checks on products and materials produced by the machine to ensure they meet established quality specifications.
· Identify and address any deviations from quality standards and report them to the supervisor.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
· Maintain machinery by performing routine cleaning, oiling, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure proper operation.
· Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
· Follow all safety guidelines, report any safety hazards, and participate in safety training.
Productivity and Efficiency:
· Operate machinery to achieve production targets and meet schedule requirements.
· Follow efficient machine setup and changeover procedures to minimize downtime.
Data Recording:
· Maintain accurate records of machine operation, production output, quality checks, and any deviations from standard procedures.
· Use relevant software or forms for data recording and reporting.
Teamwork:
· Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet production goals.
· Communicate effectively within the team and follow instructions accurately.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
· Technical knowledge of the specific machinery being operated.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
· Basic understanding of quality control and the ability to perform quality checks.
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move materials as needed.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and tasks.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
