- Use respectful greetings.
- Seating Guests
- Escort them to a clean, prepared table.
- Provide menus (explain if there are special Indian dishes or a thali buffet).
- Taking Orders
- Explain menu items, especially traditional or regional Indian dishes.
- Offer recommendations based on customer preferences (spice level, vegetarian, Jain, etc.).
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system.
- Serving Food & Beverages
- Serve dishes in the correct order, ensuring presentation is appealing.
- Know how to describe items like naan, biryani, dosa, paneer, etc.
- Serve water/refreshments and refill as needed.
- Clean dishes and stocking as required
- Handling Customer Inquiries & Complaints
- Address concerns promptly and politely.
- Involve the manager when needed.
- Always maintain a respectful tone, especially if the customer is unfamiliar with Indian cuisine.
- Table Maintenance
- Regularly check on guests (e.g., “Is everything to your satisfaction?”).
- Clear plates, refill water, and ensure cleanliness
- Billing & Payments
- Present checks promptly.
- Thank guests after payment and invite them to return.
