The Opportunity:
Drive analysis and strategic recommendations surrounding loyalty campaigns and incentive effectiveness, while applying a general understanding of how campaigns and offers impact loyalty program strategy, program performance, member value, and program operations.
Be the go-to person for all campaign performance inquiries; lead the design, delivery and sustainment of scalable and insightful campaign reporting materials and analytical tools to further enhance the team’s capabilities around data-driven decision making.
Collaborate with retail fuel & merchandising teams and other cross-functional partners in support of earnings, and advance initiatives outlined within Parkland’s strategic transformation project charter.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Performance Analytics and Reporting

Define, develop, implement, and monitor metrics and KPIs related to Loyalty Campaigns, both generic all-campaign KPIs and those specific to the individual campaign level.

Conduct pre- and post-campaign analytics to assess immediate and long-term effectiveness and impact of campaigns.

Make recommendations to improve or enhance existing campaigns.
-
Understanding campaign’s impact on business performance and operational goals, and monitor general financial impact of campaigns while in market.

Write reports and updates to communicate with stakeholders across the organization on campaign and offer performance.

Analyze and report on performance of vendor funded campaigns and present results to external parties.
Campaign Offer Development (incl. Test and Learn)

Partner with the Loyalty Program Performance Specialist and Loyalty CRM Specialist to inform the development of campaigns, including offer strategies, offer values, customer targeting and eligibility requirements.

Partner with the Loyalty Campaign Specialist and CRM specialist to define Test and Learn opportunities, create apply test and learn opportunities to existing campaigns and analyse and report on results.

Insight Development

Work cross functionally alongside the other Loyalty Analytics Specialists to uncover trends and insights to drive business decisions.

Design and delivery strategic and analytical insight materials to leverage in cross-functional stakeholder management and presentation
Requirements:
-
Proven business and financial acumen and analytical ability. Ability to develop hypotheses on business performance, manipulate large sets of data, develop structures to guide analysis, perform technical analyses, translate complex data into actionable insights, and make strategic/tactical recommendations.

Mastery of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

2 - 3 years of experience in using data/analytics to drive business strategy and optimize business results.

High-level of individual initiative and motivation, focus on quality of work, and attention to detail.

Strong team orientation, able to work with a diverse team based in a field and corporate environment, while being able to work autonomously on projects and initiatives.

Strong work experience demonstrating consultative and communication skills with a proven record of positive business results and relationships, and an increasing level of responsibility.

Desire to develop intellectual property in the form of re-usable analytical tools, and strategic or analytical methodologies. “One and done” attitude when performing analysis, striving to eliminate risk of re-work or other inefficiencies.
Nice To Have:

Database and analytical tools (SQL, Python, Athena, etc.) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written, is an asset.
