We are seeking qualified individuals who intend to obtain their Chartered Professional Accounting designation and are graduating by
April of 2025 or who recently graduated.
Our Accounting Intern Program is an exciting professional accounting training program which is Manitoba Hydro's Pre-Approved
Program Route approved through CPA Manitoba in 2024. You will join a comprehensive accounting training program that will
provide challenging assignments in the accounting field, which is designed to develop your skills and prepare you for a future
professional career as a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Our Program consists of a variety of rotations within the accounting function over a period of approximately 30-36 months. While
employed in the Program, trainees will be given work assignments that will assist them in their transformation from an academic
setting to a professional business environment. While progressing through the Program, you are expected to achieve your
professional designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba.
CPA Manitoba Pre-Approved Program Route includes rotations in the following areas:
- Project Financial Services
- Asset & Operations Accounting
- Corporate Accounting
Opportunities for exposure may include the following areas:
- Financial Advisory Services
- Financial Planning
- Rates & Regulatory
- Treasury
- Audit
Qualifications:
- University of Manitoba four-year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree with an Accounting major.
OR
- University of Winnipeg four-year Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with an Accounting concentration.
OR
- Equivalent four-year University Degree.
