Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our team. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving carpentry, welding, or HVAC components
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using schematic diagrams and technical manuals
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components and systems for new construction or renovation projects
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman/Woman Plumber certification is required
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with HVAC systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is essential
- Knowledge of carpentry principles related to plumbing installations is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Prior experience reading technical drawings such as blueprints or schematics is necessary for precise execution of work
