Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our reputable automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assessing vehicle needs, providing excellent service, and coordinating repairs with our skilled technicians. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer satisfaction. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued to ensure accurate assessments and effective upselling of services.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle issues and service requests.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, highlighting necessary services and additional upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Provide detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs, while managing cash handling procedures securely.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs and address any questions or concerns promptly.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance that benefit the customer's vehicle longevity and safety.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining detailed service records.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships.
Skills
- Proven experience in an automotive dealership or repair shop environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repair processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Sales aptitude with experience in upselling services effectively without being pushy.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic administrative tasks related to service management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
