The Human Resource and Talent Development Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources functions, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development for three locations for multiple divisions within the company, such as the assembly plant, paint shop and freight company .
This position involves developing and implementing HR programs, managing employee files from onboarding to offboarding, and driving process improvements to support the company's growth and culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, expertise in HR management systems, and the ability to foster a positive work environment through effective communication and talent strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding and offboarding
- Hiring all types of trades people related to heavy trucks and equipment such as welders, fabricators, mechanics, 12v electricians, shipper receivers, heavy truck painters, bodyshop technicians, pipe fitters, sales staff, drivers and freight brokers
- Develop and manage HR programs focused on employee engagement, training & development, and performance management.
- Oversee HR documentation to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Implement change management initiatives to support organizational transitions and strategic objectives.
- Ensure staff and department managers ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends related to workforce planning, turnover rates, and training effectiveness.
- Oversee payroll processes using systems to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
- Lead process improvement projects aimed at streamlining HR operations and enhancing efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on HR strategies, metrics, and program outcomes to senior leadership.
- Facilitate Training to employees
- Facilitate facility safety inspections
Skills
- Extensive experience in human resources management with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, and program management.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, PeopleSoft is an asset
- Time clock to payroll co-ordination
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems
- Demonstrated expertise in change management practices and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Skilled in negotiation and supervising teams effectively.
- Data analysis skills for interpreting workforce metrics and making data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience in recruiting strategies and HR sourcing techniques.
- Familiarity with training & development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Ability to manage budgets related to HR initiatives efficiently.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to employment law and organizational policies.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
