Duties
- Measure and prepare roofing surfaces according to project specifications using hand tools and blueprint reading skills
- Install aluminum roofing panels, flashing, trim, and accessories with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, snips, and caulking guns to secure roofing materials effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow on-site
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately follow installation plans and specifications
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure watertight finishes and prevent leaks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly throughout the project
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in roofing and construction tasks
- Prior construction experience, especially in roofing or related trades
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting materials accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods of time
- Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, or installation guides
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various repair and installation tasks
