About Us
Blue Ribbon Millwork is a growing custom cabinetry and millwork company specializing in high-end residential and commercial spaces. We design, build, and install custom kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and architectural millwork tailored to each project.
We are a small, team-oriented business that values professionalism, creativity, initiative, and people who are willing to learn and grow alongside the company.
We are currently looking for a motivated and adaptable Admin & Marketing Assistant to join our team full-time.
Position Overview
This position is intended for a currently enrolled post-secondary student seeking hands-on experience and long-term growth within a supportive small business environment.
This role includes a combination of administrative support, marketing coordination, content creation, client communication, and general business support.
Social media is part of the role, but we are not simply looking for someone to make videos or post content for brand awareness. We are looking for someone who understands that marketing should support real business growth by helping improve visibility, generate leads, encourage inquiries, and contribute ideas that help bring in actual projects.
As a small business, responsibilities can vary from day to day. Some days may involve creating content and scheduling posts, while others may involve helping answer phones, speaking with potential clients, organizing the office, or assisting with events and promotions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with social media content creation and scheduling
- Take photos/videos of projects, installations, and behind-the-scenes work
- Edit and post content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube
- Support marketing initiatives focused on lead generation and business growth
- Assist with online engagement and communication
- Answer phones and communicate professionally with clients
- Conduct initial phone screenings and gather basic project information
- Learn basic millwork terminology and project details to assist with client inquiries before connecting clients with our designer
- Help with general office organization and administrative support
- Assist with promotions, collaborations, events, and day-to-day business tasks as needed

- Is currently enrolled in post-secondary education

- Communicates respectfully and professionally over the phone
- Can make clients feel comfortable and welcomed
- Is proactive, hardworking, and willing to learn
- Is adaptable and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Understands the difference between marketing for engagement versus marketing for lead generation and business growth
- Is creative, organized, and self-motivated
- Is comfortable working independently and contributing ideas
Preferred Assets
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation
- Basic understanding of social media advertising and lead generation
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools
- Basic photo/video editing skills
- Interest in interior design, cabinetry, construction, or renovation industries
- Previous customer service, administrative, or marketing experience
