Marketing Automation & Development Specialist
Reporting to: Director, Marketing
The Role:
Medcan is recruiting for a Marketing Automation & Development Specialist who is motivated to make an impact in a fast-paced environment to combine best practices in digital experience and marketing with the expertise of programming. With a newly launched digital ecosystem, we are excited to reach new and existing clients with a best-in-class digital experience, which is all about helping them live healthier, happier lives by making smart, evidence-based health decisions over the long term.
The team is passionate about health, wellbeing and service. As an integral member of the marketing team, you are naturally curious about technology and can strike a balance between proven strategies and a test and learn approach. This role will focus on supporting our go-to-market and CRM initiatives with innovative use of technology to automated and optimize our digital channels.
The Accountabilities:

Manage the medcan.com website including enhancements to existing pages and development of new landing pages using a combination of new or existing modules, to achieve optimal experiences that support business objectives. Familiarity with tools such as Prismic.io and GitHub are an asset.

Build and maintain the module library for both the website CMS (Prismic.io) and email builder tools (Stensul)

Ensure that all digital touchpoints are tagged and tracked appropriately (using GA4, redirects, utms, pixels, cookies etc) for measurement and optimization

Develop, manage and monitor integrations to seamlessly pass data from the website to back-end systems (Salesforce)

Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance including data hygiene best practices, implementation of features that enhance marketing efforts, design and development of user journeys, email marketing deployments, data management, reporting and more

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop and implement the best technical solutions to achieve business objectives

Proficient understanding of cross-browser and form-factor compatibility issues and ways to work around them

Create clear and detailed documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to Marketing Cloud and/or website enhancements

Troubleshoot issues related to automations, data synchronizations and interoperability between systems as well as supporting back-end developers with troubleshooting

Stay up to date on emerging technologies and provide recommendations that support Medcan’s business objectives and world-class experience
The Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the following areas:

Hands-on experience working with Marketing Cloud (or similar) (Developer or Administrator certification preferred)

Proven work experience as a Front-end developer working in a headless CMS (Prismic or similar) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar)

Experience with JavaScript, CSS, GitHub and jQuery

In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, QA/UAT and deployment)

Familiarity with browser and email testing and debugging

Acts with urgency, critical thinking and demonstrated effective problem-solving skills
-
Ability to translate complex technical solutions to easy-to-understand concepts for non-technical users

Experience implementing and managing GA4 related properties

Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and Prismic CMS (or similar) is considered an asset

An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Excellent analytical, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
This is full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week in the office, out of 150 York Street, Toronto.
