Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems, such as Micros POS, and relay them promptly to the kitchen staff
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining balanced registers
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations for food and beverage options to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, dining spaces, and service stations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with guest services and food industry operations
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and processing orders accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order entry and payment processing
- Understanding of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles that emphasize guest engagement and upselling strategies
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
