Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on order picking and building pallets within a fast-paced shipping and receiving department at a large third-party logistics warehouse. You will handle products, work with warehouse technology and computer systems, and regularly lift up to 40 lbs while maintaining accuracy, safety, and organization.
Responsibilities

Build and stack pallets up to approximately 15 rows high (about 7 feet) while ensuring stability, accuracy, and safe handling of products.

Put away products using a pick-to-light or similar warehouse system, following inventory and storage procedures.

Handle return products (stales) by dumping them into the compactor in a safe and efficient manner.

Tag products, pallets, or locations accurately to support inventory control and traceability.

Use basic computer systems and RF scanners to complete order picking, inventory updates, and shipping and receiving tasks.

Follow all warehouse safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe lifting techniques.

Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area, including participating in general cleaning and janitorial tasks as needed.
Essential Skills

Ability to lift 25–40 lbs consistently for an 8-hour shift, including up to approximately 2 hours per day of heavier lifting as required.

Recent experience (within the last 3 months) in a role that required lifting 40 lbs continuously.

Basic computer skills, including the ability to learn and use warehouse computer systems and RF scanners.

Experience building pallets, including stacking product up to 15 rows high (approximately 7 feet) safely and securely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

6+ months of sit-down forklift experience and power pallet jack operation.

Valid certification on sit-down forklifts (AB certification or similar).

Experience using warehouse computer systems such as PC Data or comparable inventory and order management systems.

Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work within a warehouse or industrial environment.

Hands-on experience building and wrapping pallets for shipping.

Prior shipping and receiving experience in a logistics or warehouse setting.

Experience working in a large third-party logistics facility or similar high-volume warehouse.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and processes in an ever-changing work environment.

Positive attitude and willingness to "find a way to get it done" while following safety and quality expectations.

Work Environment
You will work in a large, fast-paced third-party logistics warehouse within the shipping and receiving department, alongside a team of approximately 20 warehouse employees with a mix of skills including power pallet jack operation, sit-down forklift driving, and general warehouse work. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as processes and priorities can change frequently. The shift runs on Saturdays to Wednesdays on an 8-hour schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The facility uses RF scanners, computer-based warehouse systems (such as PC Data or similar), and standard warehouse equipment including sit-down forklifts and power pallet jacks. Safety is a priority, with CSA-certified boots and a safety vest required and no earbuds allowed in the warehouse. The break area is well equipped with a fridge, freezer, free coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, toaster, and utensils, supporting a comfortable and convenient workday. Dress expectations include appropriate warehouse attire with required safety footwear and high-visibility vest.
