We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our overnight operations. This position reports directly to the Sanitation Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of post-production and facility cleanliness.
Candidates must be available to work NIGHTS Monday - Friday (40 hours per week). Overtime may be required based on production scheduling.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Enforce all sanitation and safe work practices in accordance with HACCP and CFIA standards.
- Complete wash down and sanitation of designated production areas including; operating equipment, floors, walls, and ceilings using industrial strength power hose.
- Clean and sanitize all production tools (containers, bins, racks, hoses).
- Some record keeping and documentation of department issues/inspection reports may be required.
- Detailed attention to company's sanitary procedures to prevent contamination is crucial.
- Dispense cleaning and sanitizing chemicals; and perform chemical titrations.
- Empty and clean trash cans and other waste containers.
- General upkeep and maintenance of sanitation equipment.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of commercial or industrial sanitation experience (preferably in food manufacturing industry)
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
Other Information:
- This position can be physically demanding. Candidates should be physically fit with the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation to/from work in order to accommodate shift time.
Shift: 6:00PM - 2:30AM (Monday to Friday)
