The Healthcare Human Resources (HHR) Branch of the Ministry of Health leads and supports health workforce planning and policy; incentive and recruitment programs, strategic initiatives and advice; and labour relations.
The Research and Analysis Unit within the HHR Branch is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual with exceptional data analysis and modelling skills for a 2 year term. The successful candidate will play a lead role on a team that is responsible for forecasting, analyzing and assessing the health human resource needs of the province. This position will lead data analysis and work with a variety of health, post-secondary education and government stakeholders to identify, gather and analyze different datasets.
To join this challenging, innovative and supportive working environment, the successful candidate will have practical knowledge and proficiency in Excel, statistical analysis software, research and analysis techniques, and data presentation. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, or Python), knowledge of health policy issues, and experience in public policy development.
The knowledge and skills required for this position would have been gained through the completion of a degree in economics, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science or a related discipline, along with experience in data analysis and modelling.
