SPECIAL PROJECT: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ZERO EMISSION VEHICLE (ZEV) CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT – Competition ID 1532

The Faculty of Trades and Technology is currently seeking an instructor in the Automotive Service Technician department to complete Zero Emission Vehicle curriculum development materials specific to KPU’s Automotive Service Technician program.
This is a six (6) week special project assignment for curriculum development.
Preference will be given to those who have previously completed ZEV training.
More information concerning the working conditions for a faculty member are outlined in Article 12 of the Kwantlen Faculty Association (KFA) Collective Agreement
Minimum qualifications include:
a BC Certificate of Qualification (BC TQ) with a Red Seal Endorsement (RSE), or a Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal (IP RSE), or hold a subsisting Automotive Service Technician CofQ with RSE from another Canadian jurisdiction.
A minimum of five years current, and relevant, related industry experience as an automotive repair journeyperson after earning the IP RSE is required.
The knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students is essential.
Preference will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated record of teaching successfully and two (2) years supervisory experience.
The successful applicant may be required to have a criminal record check done.
