Job Summary
The Hotel Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the hotel's public areas while assisting with routine maintenance and property upkeep. This role helps ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests by performing public area cleaning, light maintenance, preventative maintenance tasks, and responding to operational needs throughout the property.
Duties
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, public washrooms, fitness centre, meeting room, and exterior entrances.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and debris from guest and staff areas.
- Perform routine inspections of the property and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment deficiencies.
- Complete maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, changing batteries, unclogging drains, replacing air filters, and performing basic repairs.
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects and routine building upkeep.
- Maintain exterior areas by removing litter, sweeping walkways, and assisting with seasonal duties such as snow and ice removal.
- Respond promptly to guest requests requiring housekeeping or maintenance assistance.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other housekeeping, maintenance, and operational duties as assigned.
Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

- Salmon Arm, BC V1E 2S5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
