Summary
We are seeking a Claims Manager to join our team at our Calgary terminal. This pivotal role involves overseeing and creating claims processes, end to end to ensure efficient resolution and compliance, contributing directly to our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the claims process to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to investigate claims.
- Develop strategies for effective risk mitigation related to claims.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims activities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff involved in claims handling.
- Analyze trends to improve claims procedures and reduce costs.
- Support the company's commitment to proactive risk management.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in claims management in transportations or related field.
- Adjusting experience is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in the trucking industry
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and workers' compensation processes is a plus.
