Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with the Pre-Kindergarten team to provide transdisciplinary support to children with complete communicative needs within the Pre-Kindergarten program.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
-
developing, implementing and evaluating speech and language goals for children in Pre-Kindergarten who have speech and/or language difficulties

providing intervention and support for individuals, small groups and whole classrooms including specialized intervention for children with specific communication needs

implementing behaviour management techniques

providing assistance with the development of adaptations and modifications to support student success

preparing materials and resources to support educational programming
Education/Qualifications
-
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
-
active registration and in good standing with Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
-
minimum of three years related experience in classroom-based service delivery to children and youth
-
excellent communication, collaboration and consultative skills
-
experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Rate of Pay
$47.77 - $61.05 per hour
