Location – Prince George, BC
This position is intended for a driver based in Prince George, BC. The driver will operate throughout British Columbia and may also be required to travel throughout Western Canada and into the United States.
Important: Alchemist Specialty Carriers’ primary operations and dispatch facility is located in Langley, BC. We will always make every reasonable effort to schedule the driver’s resets and home time in Prince George whenever possible; however, due to the nature of our operations, this cannot be guaranteed. Operational requirements, customer demands, available work, and dispatch schedules may require resets or time away from home in other locations.
Pay & Benefits
- Highway and long-haul driving paid using a time and distance formula
- $36.00 – $42.00 per hour, based on experience

Alchemist Specialty Carriers is looking for an experienced Class 1 Highway Tanker Driver to join our team. This position involves hauling liquid bulk products throughout British Columbia, with a combination of highway, industrial, and mine site deliveries. While many deliveries are standard highway routes, some require travel on Forest Service Roads to remote mine sites. For this reason, a minimum of two (2) years of Forest Service Road (FSR) driving experience is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Driver Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s license – With minimum 2 years of Forest Service Road (FSR) driving experience (This is a mandatory requirement for this position)
- Experience with hauling bulk liquids in tanker trailers
- Experience with hauling Super B trailers (B-Trains)
- FAST Card required – Approved drivers are eligible for sign-on bonus
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English and complete required documentation
Security and Safety Requirements
- Clear Driver Abstract and Criminal Record Check
- Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol testing required
Work Requirements
- Willing to travel cross-border into the United States
- Willing to travel overnight and perform regional/highway work
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Ensure proper cargo securement and protection
- Maintain safe, defensive, and professional driving practices at all times
