Overview
Deep River Nursery School and Child Care Centre is a licensed child care center which provides quality care to families in the Deep River and surrounding areas.
This is a permanent position.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for teaching young children, and dedication to helping develop and support their educational growth while encouraging social interactions.
Responsibilities
· Excellent written and oral communication.
· Planning and implementing a quality Before and After School Program for children 4 to 12 years of age
· Creative, hard working team player, energetic, flexible, reliable, punctual.
· Provide opportunities for active play (i.e. outdoor play).
· Knowledge of the CCEYA and of "How Does Learning Happen?".
· Physically able to perform repetitive tasks; sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting; bathroom/diapering routine; room set up/take down.
· Maintain and clean daycare equipment.
· Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children in the program
· Fostering the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs.
· Building positive relationships with the children, families and school community
Requirements
· Member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators or Ontario College of Teachers or a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure services is an asset.
· Holder of a valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C Certificate
· Vulnerable Sector Check – within the last three months
· 1 year of experience working in child care settings will be an asset.
· Up-to-date immunization

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
