Blue Horse Eatery / Italian Gastro Pub – Davisville, Toronto (1867 Yonge St)
Do you move fast, stay calm under pressure, and take pride in sending out food you’d be proud to eat yourself?
We’re looking for strong line cooks to join our kitchen team at our new Italian-inspired gastropub in the heart of Davisville as well as an Italian restaurant in Etobicoke.
We’re building a neighbourhood spot with vibrant energy, honest food, and a kitchen team that cares about consistency, teamwork, and execution.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and execute menu items with consistency and attention to detail
- Work efficiently across stations during busy service
- Maintain prep levels and mise en place for smooth execution
- Follow recipes, plating standards, and portion controls
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
- Support receiving, stocking, and proper food storage
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with chefs and front-of-house to deliver a great guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook experience in a restaurant, gastropub, or fast-paced kitchen is required
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
- Strong sense of urgency and teamwork
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Passion for food and hospitality
- Evening and weekend availability
- Food Handler Certification (required)
Bonus If You Have
- Italian kitchen experience
- Experience in a high-volume service environment
