Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting, treating, and preventing pest issues across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Prior experience with sales or familiarity with hand tools, and power tools is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in pest management while contributing to the health and safety of our clients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and entry points
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using industry-standard methods and equipment
- Educate clients on pest prevention techniques and recommend ongoing maintenance plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, effectively during treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate records of treatments performed and follow-up schedules
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of treatment areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Promote services through effective communication and sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements
- Prior experience in pest control, sales, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and education
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between sites
- Willingness to learn industry best practices and safety procedures
