4 x 10 hour 6 am to 4:30 pm
(2 employees to work Thursday to Sunday and 2 employees to work Saturday to Tuesday)
Job Summary
The Valve Rebuild Technician is responsible for assembling component kits, performing valve rebuilds, tracking completion status, and maintaining compliance with quality and food safety standards. This role involves identifying and escalating mechanical or quality issues to the Mixing Supervisor while supporting the organization and effectiveness of the valve rebuild program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble rebuilding kits by gathering required components (e.g., O-rings, gaskets) for scheduled maintenance.
- Perform valve rebuilds during scheduled shutdown periods in accordance with GMP and food safety standards.
- Monitor and track rebuild progress, ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time.
- Identify, document, and escalate mechanical or quality issues as needed.
- Validate completed work through line washes to confirm proper valve function and leak prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance and program tracking.
- Coordinate with the Sanitation Team and Stockroom to ensure parts availability and avoid scheduling conflicts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good reading comprehension and basic math skills.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to make informed decisions and escalate issues when necessary.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining safety, GMP, and food safety standards always.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work in ambient temperatures with occasional humidity.
- Ability to work at heights when required.
- Frequent bending, lifting, walking, reaching, and standing.
- Manual dexterity to assemble tri-clamps and various fittings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation
At Chapman’s, compensation is guided by a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes and rewards individual contributions.
Wages
$26.25 per hour
