Our client is seeking a hands-on
General Accountant to join their collaborative accounting team in Etobicoke. This role is well-suited to someone who

Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholder
- Prepare and coordinate vendor payments via cheque, EFT, and wire transfer, while responding to payment-related inquirie
- Apply customer payments accurately and investigate payment discrepancies, deductions, credits, and account adjustment
- Communicate with customers regarding payment issues and assist with monitoring outstanding accounts receivable balance
- Maintain accurate accounting records and enter transactions into QuickBooks in a timely manne
- Organize and archive accounting documentation, including invoices, remittances, and supporting record
- Support month-end activities by ensuring accounting transactions are processed accurately and on schedul
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the accounting function
Qualifications:
Experience in a general and full-cycle accounting
Experience within food manufacturing or working with deductions is considered an asset but not required
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with a variety of accounting responsibilities
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
