Happy Fresh Market is a new local, family owned grocery store located in NW Calgary.
We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to provide friendly and efficient checkout service to our customers. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transactions and creating a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them during the checkout process.
- Scan grocery items accurately and process transactions using our POS system.
- Process cash, credit, and debit card payments with accuracy and adherence to store policies.
- Bag groceries neatly and assist with loading items if needed.
- Provide information to customers about products, prices, and store policies as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including replenishing supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Follow all company procedures for cash handling and customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashiering or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
