Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Dental Floater / Assistant to support our dental team across multiple treatment areas. Duties
- Assist dentists and hygienists during patient procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are prepared and sterilized.
- Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, orthodontics, and pediatrics by providing flexible assistance as needed.
- Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, seating the patients in the operatories, assisting
- Perform chairside assisting, including taking x-rays, applying sealants, and assisting with impressions and making temporary crowns.
- Support front desk operations by handling check-ins, check-outs, and answering patient inquiries when needed.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and ensure the cleanliness of operatories and equipments.
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting or related medical fields is preferred but not required .
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Abeldent is advantageous.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Experience with processing traditional x-rays films.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care is desirable.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in customer service within healthcare settings will be considered an asset. Pay: $20.52-$30.00 per hour
