SMS Equipment is looking for a Warehouse Technician. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for the incoming and outgoing material shipments. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, enjoys physical work and has a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, our Warehouse Technicians pick, ship, receive, and maintain inventory, warehouse and yard to provide accurate and timely service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
Shipping and receiving
Picking parts orders
Warehouse and yard maintenance
Forklift operation and maintenance
Daily cycle counting and warehouse inventory
Dealing with customers and suppliers
Qualifications:
Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety
Previous industry related work experience
Forklift, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Fire Extinguisher, TDG, First Aid, and Hoisting and Rigging training an asset.
Strong customer service skills
Working knowledge of computers
