What you will do
The Coordinator, Programming and Outreach, is responsible for planning and facilitating system-wide programs, outreach, and tours. Coordinators deliver one-on-one appointment-based advanced reference, readers’ advisory, and technology support for all target user groups. The Centralized Programming Outcomes team works and learns together in a collaborative way that builds culture and responds to community needs while establishing relationships within community library catchments.
In this role you will:
- Work in coordination with Leads and Lead Librarians, Wellbeing Outcomes to develop and facilitate assigned programs in a way that meets established targets and quality standards
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data
- Communicate with presenters or partners as applicable
- Provide support to volunteers engaged with activities within assigned outcomes area
- Travel to all KPL locations to deliver programs, tours and outreach
What you bring
- Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field of study
- 1-2 years of library experience, with demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with diverse customers and community members
- Experience working with children, teens, adults, seniors, newcomers, and individuals with neurodivergent, physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities
- Experience in early literacy, recreation, day camp programming, digital literacy, and/or media production
- Proven ability to develop and deliver creative, innovative, and inclusive programs that meet the needs of diverse audiences
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and community needs
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and commitment to inclusive and accessible service delivery

Pay: $32.29-$37.77 per hour
