Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical hygiene. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, periodontal surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care procedures.
- Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to prevent cross-contamination.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Proficiency with dental software systems including Tracker.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for patients and staff.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work effectively within a team environment supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
