JOB SUMMARY
Pre-planning of job including Rig site survey, load out of equipment, and optimization/witnessing of green tagging equipment prior to job mobilization.
· Optimize existing MPD procedures and documentation regarding equipment, drilling, influx. management, well stability, best practices, etc.
· Identify new technology requirements to improve efficiency
· Assist in the preparation of RCD Equipment for upcoming projects.
· Assist in the preparation of RCD Delivery Tickets and record serial numbers and asset numbers for equipment being delivered to the field.
· Assist in the delivery of RCD equipment to the wellsite, provide delivery ticket to customer.
· Periodically check on drop off RCD systems, check in with company representative, check inventory, print, and get tickets signed and returned to the field office.
· Assist in the installation of the RCD body, Bearing, and Sealing elements when requested by the customer.
· Understand the RCD operations and answer any technical questions the customer may have.
· Assist in the training of Rig crew on the operation of the RC, installation of the RCD bearings and sealing elements, and general maintenance of the equipment.
· Assist in the preparation of incident reports, non-conformance reports, and incident investigations as required and provide timely feedback to the customer.
· Understand how to operate, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrically actuated systems.
· Knowledge of pressure control equipment and how to operate MPD software system.
· Capable of training the Rig crew on the operation the RCD, installation of RCD bearings and sealing elements, and general maintenance of the equipment
· Regularly meet with potential customers and explain the products and services Premium can provide.
· Prepare incident reports, non-conformance reports, and incident investigations as required and provide timely feedback to the customer.
· Knowledge of pressure control equipment and how to operate MPD software systems.
· Occasionally working as a pressure control operator on basic MPD operations.
· Understand how to operate, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrically actuate systems.
· Identifying opportunities to sell additional products or services to existing customers.
· Demonstrating and explaining the benefits of new products or upgrades to customers.
Provide feedback and advice internally/externally about operational, technical, QHSE and engineering practices/ requests/ challenges.
· Ensure all company required paperwork and reporting is done on time and communication between main office/ client is effective and efficient.
· Supervision and execution of all matters related to Managed Pressure Drilling with no
supervision.
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with a focus on MPD/RCD systems
- Experience in horizontal drilling techniques in the oil & gas industry
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as oil rigs and pipelines
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction site safety protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot software, utilize Microsoft Office, and work with SharePoint
- Leadership skills with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and experience in commercial driving, including tanker operations
Experience / Education Requirements
High School Diploma
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling operations (preferably with MPD systems and engineering execution in the field), with at least 3-5 years MPD supervisory dedicated experience.
· Understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations
· Ability to communicate product benefits and features effectively to customers.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
· Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues effectively and professionally.
· Empathy and patience when dealing with customers. The role requires extended periods in the field, including potentially harsh and remote environments.
· Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
