Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a qualified, self-motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Marketing Coordinator for our three (3) Chances properties (Chilliwack, Dawson Creek and Maple Ridge). Reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for delivering the day to day digital and social media marketing content plus much more! This position will be located out of Chances Chilliwack with regular visits to Chances Maple Ridge.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating, developing and implementing a strategic organic social media plan for our three Chances Properties focusing on our key areas of business
  • Building and overseeing content calendars to determine appropriate timeline for posting, engaging and optimizing content specific to each platform
  • Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries and comments across various platforms
  • Coordinating and implementing updates to the Chances websites
  • Updating and maintaining digital signage for all properties
  • Editing, proof-reading and/or creating documents (marketing material, correspondence, policies, forms, presentations and reports)
  • Copy writing for all digital and print mediums
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as expense management and reporting, ordering departmental office supplies, initiating purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and filing
  • Building strong working relationships with employees, vendors, and external regulators
  • Ensures compliance with BCLC regulations
  • Incorporates Great Canadian’s Vision, Mission and Values and GEM Service Standards into daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

*Successful Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications or Hospitality
  • Experience working with WordPress and Hootsuite
  • Experience in all Social Media platforms and trends (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Post-secondary degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and communication skills
  • Should be strategic, creative, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrates an understanding of brand guidelines
  • High integrity in time management; prioritizing, multi-tasking and a sense of urgency to meet set deadlines
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, advanced levels an asset
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Providing a Great Experience and Memory to all guests, both external and internal
  • Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The hours of work will be based on operational needs of the business.
