Wonderworld Montessori Academy’s Metrotown is a new school located at the heart of Metrotown. It has 8 classrooms total capacity of hosting 161 children and 30 full-time employees at full capacity.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic FULL TIME ECE/IT Educator at our Metrotown Burnaby location in our INFANT TODDLER CLASS. We welcome you to join our growing team of exceptional educators.
Job description
ECE Classroom QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST have ECE/IT license and certification
- MUST have experience working in an Infant Toddler Class- please DO NOT apply if you do not have this
- AMI Assistant Certificate is preferred
- Experience in Montessori classroom preferred
- Can speak English fluently; Mandarin fluently a bonus
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Criminal Record Check
A successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- A warm, friendly, and calm disposition
- Caring and attentive to children
- Able to actively support and coordinate with the guide
- able to do diapering and potty training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork
- Highly organized, detail oriented, good observation skills
- Demonstrate accountability and a good work ethic
Additional Skills:
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Plan and organize enrichment activities for before and after regular school hours
- Coordinate activities with other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
- Manage before and after school programs
