The Catering Sous Chef will oversee the production of food for our Catering events, dining hall and special functions. Assists with supervision of culinary staff as assigned. Assist Executive Chef, with ordering and procurement of food and scheduling of employees. Working directly on line with other staff as and when needed and scheduled.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Assists and supports the Executive Chef, Helps select and train kitchen staff.
- Food production and oversees the preparation and service of food for the residential dining hall
- Offers guidance to front line supervisor, cooks on the preparation, cooking and presentation of different foods in the dining hall, and special events.
- Work closely with all the kitchen supervisor and assists in the enforcement of health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Handles any problems that arise in the kitchen.
- Helps in ensuring customers are served efficiently and effectively.
- Procurement of supplies and proper product rotation in all coolers and freezer.
- Maximize the company profit while reducing the wastage, train and guide cooks and supervisor as per company policies.
- Work on line as needed during shift.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
