Major purpose:
Decal Installation Design and Operator is a hybrid role, responsible for the end-to-end execution of visual branding applications across MoveMobility vehicles, facilities, and customer environments. This position bridges creative design preparation with hands on production and installation, ensuring high-quality, professional decal output that aligns with brand standards and client requirements.
Working closely with Production, Sales, and Marketing teams, this role supports the design, production, and installation of vinyl graphics, decals, and wraps. The Technician ensures precision, consistency, and durability in all deliverables while contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design & Layout
- Create, modify, and scale decal designs, vehicle wraps, and signage using approved design software
- Prepare client-ready artwork files that meet production specifications and brand standards
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to ensure design accuracy and alignment with client requirements
Pre-Press & Production
- Operate wide-format printers, vinyl plotters, and laminators to produce decals and graphics
- Prepare print files, manage media, and monitor print quality and consistency
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing and cutting equipment
Installation & Application
- Install vinyl graphics and decals on vehicles, windows, walls, and other surfaces
- Use appropriate tools (heat guns, squeegees, application fluids) to ensure professional application
- Trim, align, and secure graphics on flat and complex surfaces, including curves and contours
Surface Preparation
- Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and durability of applications
- Inspect surfaces for defects and address issues prior to installation
Quality Control
- Inspect all printed and installed materials for alignment, finish quality, and defects
- Correct issues such as bubbles, lifting edges, or misalignment prior to completion
- Ensure all work meets MoveMobility quality standards and client expectations
General & Team Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within production processes
- Assist with other production or installation tasks as required
Qualifications
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience operating wide-format printers, vinyl plotters, and laminators
- Strong understanding of vinyl application techniques and materials
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools

Additional Requirements
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel for off-site installations as needed
- Industry certifications (e.g., 3M Installation Certification) considered an asset
