Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of press machinery to produce high-quality products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Press Operator will collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor press machines to ensure proper functioning and production output.
- Assemble components using hand tools and machinery as required.
- Perform routine maintenance on press equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Fabricate parts according to specifications outlined in shop drawings.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during production processes.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and technical drawings accurately.
- Work with logic controllers to manage machine operations effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently is preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control practices and procedures.
- Ability to read shop drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting machinery issues.
- Solid mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during production.
- Competence in using hand tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
