We manufacture a highly complex Custom HVAC units for commercial and industrial market, worldwide.
Over the years, sales have increased dramatically and now ICE Western has a state of the art industrial manufacturing facility located on 5 acres in South Foothills Industrial Park Calgary Alberta. In May 2016, we added an extra 40,000 square feet addition to our existing facility, allowing us to address the demand for our products. We are a rapidly growing organization with over 100 employees.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Human Resources (HR) Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all HR services and support to ensure that ICE Western Sales has a thriving workforce to meet organizational goals to provide the best client services possible.
The key functions include but are not limited to:
- Create job posting in BambooHR and other Job Posting sites
- Review applicants and work with supervisors to look for qualified candidates
- Schedule interviews
- Interview qualified candidates together with the supervisors (Phone screening, virtual interview, in-person interview)
- Do reference check
- Create job offer
- Provide leadership and direction in all matters pertaining to talent management: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, rewards and recognition, learning and development, career mobility, and the wellbeing of staff
- Provide recommendations and input on workforce initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational strategy
- Perform termination/lay-off interview and Offboarding tasks.
- Create and revise company policy according to Alberta Employment Standards
- Process employee's apprenticeship application
- Create announcement and Memo
- Update and maintain all master employee and HR information data records and systems
- Update and approve employee time-off in BambooHR
- Train employee and supervisors how to use BambooHR
- Other duties and responsibilities may be added if required.
The potential candidate will possess the following:

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Team Player, candidate must be highly motivated and organized and be able to function under fast paced conditions with accuracy.
- Strong ability to work under pressure
- Experience with BambooHR as an HRIS software is an ASSET
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- CPHR designation is preferred
- At least 5 years of relevant HR generalist/advisor experience
- At least 5 years of experience in an HR leadership role
- HR Background Minimum 5 years of experience in recruiting
- Experience in managing all aspects of talent management
- Experience in developing HR programs, plans, and policies
- Experience in employee relations
- Background hiring for Trade positions
- Experience working in Manufacturing environment is a bonus
- Hiring for US Market would be considered an asset
- Must be able to work at 2 Facilities
