11:59 Bar Cafe is a communal meeting place located in the downtown financial core. Our unique establishment offers a seamless transition from a casual cafe in the morning to a vibrant bar at night, providing a distinctive experience for our valued patrons. It is relaxed, welcoming, and social.
As a Cook you are primarily responsible for preparing all the food in a timely manner and know how to work well in a kitchen set up. You must be warm and welcoming to guests with knowledge of the menu. The right candidate is someone who is self-motivated, takes great pride in their work, can time manage effectively and is focused and organized.
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year culinary experience

Skilled in various cooking methods; grilling, sous-vide, sautéing

Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment

Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions

Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional attention to details and time management skills with the ability to multitask when required

Able to work flexible hours which may include evenings (closing), weekends, and/or holidays

A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to learn

Ability to carry and lift up to 40lb
Duties:

Prep (chopping, peeling, cutting) and stock cooking station with all the necessary ingredients and equipment

Execute dishes with accuracy, speed, and detail; adhering to the recipes provided with emphasis on presentation and garnishing

Receive orders and inspect them to ensure quality, quantity and accuracy and putting away orders to ensure organization, food safety and rotation (FIFO)

Monitor stock and log shortages as required

Communicate with all team members to ensure items are prepped and stocked

Set up and close down the kitchen stations at the start and end of each shift while maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of workspace and kitchen equipment

Support other restaurant tasks and teammates as required
