We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious DZ Boom Truck Driverto join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering drywall and building materials to jobsites and operating a boom/crane in a construction environment.
This role is responsible for safely delivering and unloading materials throughout the GTA while providing professional service to customers and working effectively with co-workers and other tradespeople on-site.
Duties
- Safely operate the boom trucks to deliver drywall and building materials to jobsites throughout the GTA.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and meet customer expectations.
- Perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving drywall and other building materials as required.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and other tradespeople on-site.
- Follow company policies and procedures, MTO and other applicable regulations
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Valid 0–8 ton crane certification.
- Experience operating a boom/crane for drywall or building-material deliveries.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
- Physically fit and able to safely lift and move building materials.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
- Good listening, communication, and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work overtime as required.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
