Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they arrive
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using electronic medical records OscarWell EMR
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately to appropriate staff members
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and updating records as needed
- Maintain organized patient files and electronic medical records with precision and confidentiality
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims processing to support smooth financial operations
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely care delivery
Skills
- Proficiency with OscarWell EMR is required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
- Solid office experience supporting front desk operations and administrative functions
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams while maintaining patient confidentiality
