We are looking for a Media Planner and Campaign Specialist to manage overall ad inventory and ensure capacity to meet advertiser campaigns and annual commitments. In this role, you will develop strategic media plans, execute buys across various digital platforms, and optimize ad spend across channels. Additionally, you will manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, oversee campaign performance, and collaborate with teams to ensure effective execution and client satisfaction.
This position will be based in our office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We offer a competitive base salary plus commission, along with a comprehensive benefits package. We will also provide relocation assistance for qualified candidates interested in making Nova Scotia their new home.
- Manage overall ad inventory and ensure there is capacity to meet advertiser campaigns and annual commitments.
- Develop strategic media plans tailored to advertiser objectives and execute media buys across various offsite digital platforms within RMN (e.g., search, social, display, video).
- Optimize advertising budget and spend across channels.
- Utilize media expertise to recommend budget allocation, build audiences, and develop flighting strategies.
- Consult with suppliers periodically to understand priorities, ensure campaign effectiveness, and provide updates.
- Develop processes for efficient media plan delivery, including audience sizing and inventory availability.
- Create outreach plans for underserved or non-active clients.
- Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and agencies for offsite media, including negotiating contracts and coordinating media planning and buying needs.
- Oversee setup and activation of onsite/app, email, and offsite campaigns, and ensure ads are displaying correctly.
- Monitor campaign performance through KPIs and optimize for effectiveness, ensuring campaigns meet expectations and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with UX teams on site, app, and email changes.
- Manage relationships with ad serving vendors, including selection and issue resolution.
- 5+ years experience at media planning and buying agency and hands on experience with ad tech
- Strong analytical, decision-making, project management, and communication skills
- Experience with ad tech tools (e.g., GAM360)
- Experience working at or closely with advertising agencies and with promotional advertising on retail sites
- Experience activating campaigns (incl. offsite channels)
