KP Building Products has an exciting opportunity for a Machinist/Tool and Die Maker to join our team in Acton. Salary: $39.78/ hour
Day shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, adjust, and operate conventional and specialized machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and cutting equipment.
- Machine parts to precise specifications while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Align, secure, and install tooling, fixtures, attachments, and materials on production equipment.
- Monitor machine operations and machining processes, adjusting feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters as required.
- Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues, identifying problems through observation, testing, and equipment performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine tools and ensure equipment remains in safe and efficient operating condition.
- Collaborate with team members and maintain tooling, work areas, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.

EDUCATION
High School and General Machinist, Tool and Die Maker OR Machine Tool Builder and Integrator Trade Certification
AND / OR
Completion of a Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certification of Qualification in the above mentioned trades.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years hands on experience in integrating and assembly of custom factory automation.
- A working knowledge (written & verbal) of both English and Mathematics
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks related to Tool & Die
- Making in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
- Proficient in the use of all Toolroom equipment and related measuring equipment
