Title: Electrician – Residential/Renovation | Remote Camp FIFO Crew

MATRIX is seeking an outdoor-minded Electrician with residential renovation experience. Join a tight-knit, small build crew in remote camps to mobilize/demobilize sites. Safety-first, hands-on, and ready to collaborate with other trades and jump in to help.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and commission residential electrical systems (lighting, outlets, panels, wiring; low‑voltage systems).
- Read plans and perform rough-ins in outdoor/remote settings; install panels, breakers, grounding, and backup power.
- Route conduit and install prefabricated assemblies in tight/outdoor spaces; manage data/communications cabling.
- Ensure CSA/CEC compliance; assist with inspections; maintain safety and housekeeping.
- Participate in FIFO mobilization/demobilization, orientation, and campsite rules.
- Complete as‑built docs and commissioning records; coordinate with other trades.
Qualifications:
- Electrician trade certification (Red Seal preferred); provincial license recognized.
- 3–5 years residential renovation experience.
- Comfortable with FIFO logistics and remote/camp work; outdoor weather tolerance.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings; strong safety mindset.
- Physical ability for rugged environments; valid driver’s license; able to obtain camp access requirements.
$500-$700 per day, based on a 12 hour day, depending on experience, certifications and skill set.
Preferred:
- Remote-camp or wilderness project exposure; NFPA 70e/First Aid/CPR/WHMIS.
